At Wild Echos, our mission is to create beautiful artwork that resonates with the viewer. Inspired by the amazing vistas and flora and fauna of Vancouver Island, Wild Echos creates colourful and vibrant digital paintings. Our aim is to ignite a sense of wonder, encouraging you to reconnect with, explore, and cherish the beauty of the natural world.
Founded in 2024, by artist and owner Krista Damborg, Wild Echos hopes to share her artwork with locals and travellers of Vancouver Island.
The name "Wild Echos" embodies a celebration of adventure, human diversity, and the untamed beauty of the wilderness. "Wild" represents our love for exploration and diversity, while "Echos" symbolizes art as a reflection of life, learning, and the echoes of the past.
I am a third generation settler of Vancouver Island who was born, lives and works on the unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. I am blessed and thankful to share these lands with you.
I recognize and give thanks to the Nuu-Chah-Nulth, the Salish, and the Kwakwakaw'akw people of the west coast for allowing me to travel through your lands and for patiently sharing your beautiful and resilient culture with myself, my children, and other newcomers to this land. Your ancestral home and Your powerful teachings, language, music and arts bring joy and peace to my life and speak to my soul.
